B.B. King (born Riley B. King, September 16, 1925 – May 14, 2015) was a legendary American blues guitarist, singer, and songwriter, widely regarded as one of the greatest blues musicians of all time. His distinctive guitar tone and deeply emotional vocals set the gold standard for electric blues. King’s favorite instrument was his Gibson guitar, affectionately named Lucille. Over the course of his long and prolific career, he recorded more than 40 albums and performed thousands of concerts. B.B. King was a towering ambassador of the blues, whose influence reached far beyond the genre—into jazz, rock, and even pop music.

As a heartfelt tribute to the King of the Blues, Augustibluus will present a major musical project featuring an impressive lineup of acclaimed vocalists and top-tier instrumentalists from both Estonia and abroad. Serviti: Toomas Rull 60

ESTONIA

The band SERVITI (Sideways), consisting of Marleen Elisabeth Must (bass), Raul Sööt (keyboards, tenor saxophone), Martin Jürman (guitars), Pearu Pindre (guitars), Aron Talu (drums), and Toomas Rull (vocals), has timed their world premiere performance to take place at the Haapsalu Blues Festival. At the same event, the band will also present their debut album, titled after their namesake track “Serviti”.

SERVITI performs blues-inspired rock music, mostly in Estonian, stylistically following in the footsteps of the legendary Estonian group Ultima Thule – whose repertoire is also featured in SERVITI’s live set.

Although the band was originally formed years ago, the name SERVITI was only chosen in 2024 after a long search for a fitting Estonian-language title. The name was inspired by a remarkable discovery: in 2024, an unmarked cassette was found deep in the archives of Estonian Radio. On it was a forgotten song with lyrics by Jüri Leesment, written in 1989, shortly after he had penned the texts for the five iconic patriotic songs of the Singing Revolution. This particular piece, originally titled “Ajahambaid agaramad” (“More Vigorous Than the Tooth of Time”), had music composed by Alo Mattiisen and was performed by Ivo Linna, but for unknown reasons, it was never publicly released.

With Leesment’s recent revisions, the song has now been retitled “Serviti”, referencing a line from Estonia’s national epic Kalevipoeg and reinterpreted by the band in their own style – 40 years later.

“When the bringer of freedom was asked to appear
Only then, only then, the winds grew warm
But when colder gusts came from the EAST
Sideways, sideways – advised the hedgehogs.”

With this rediscovered piece, now turned into a powerful musical statement, SERVITI serves the opening shot – and the game is on.

Kelli Uustani & Ain Agan feat. Robert Nõmmann – “Minu aeg”

ESTONIA

The duo Kelli Uustani & Ain Agan is a refined and delicate musical collaboration between two beloved Estonian artists. Their partnership began quite recently and somewhat serendipitously, following a chance performance that revealed an unexpectedly deep musical synergy. After that first concert, it quickly became clear that their ideas, creative flow, and shared musical sensibility aligned in a way that made every rehearsal and joint appearance feel both joyful and effortless.

Their connection has since evolved into a full-fledged repertoire of thoughtfully arranged music—works that speak to both artists on a personal level and resonate beautifully with audiences. For Augustibluus, the duo is joined by special guest Robert Nõmmann, whose fluid, elegant playing style adds a fresh dimension to their sound.

Kelli Uustani is a distinctive and warm-voiced singer, songwriter, actress, and storyteller who has gradually shifted from musical theatre toward jazz, soul, blues, and improvisational music. Her sound moves gracefully between rich jazz textures and tasteful pop, with touches of musical theatre flair. Critics have compared her style to Caecilie Norby, Eva Cassidy, and Barbra Streisand. One of her strongest tools is her lyrical depth—her songs aim to connect emotionally and linger in the listener’s heart.

Ain Agan is one of Estonia’s most active and respected jazz guitarists and composers. He is the founder and artistic director of the Viljandi Guitar Festival, a founding member of the Estonian Dream Big Band, and a key figure in numerous acclaimed projects, including Eesti Keeled, the international quartet Agan-Viinikainen-Mälgand-Kallio, and his own AgAin Group. He also helps preserve and promote the legacy of his late friend Riho Sibul through the non-profit Kuukitarr.

Robert Nõmmann is a talented young bassist from Tallinn, known from bands such as Titoks, Alfa Collective, and more recently, as the bassist for Alika’s live band. He began playing double bass at the age of six and earned his bachelor’s degree from the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre in 2022. He has also studied under world-renowned bassist Anders Jormin in Gothenburg. To date, Robert has performed not only across Estonia but also in over 20 countries. His mentors include Ara Yaralyan, Csuhaj-Barna Tibor, and many others.

The concert “Minu Aeg / My Time” is inspired by the spontaneous moments that arise between the three musicians in the “here and now.” While the songs are composed and arranged, each performance brings something new—an unrepeatable moment of creativity and connection. It’s a dialogue between the trio and the audience. The program features original compositions, jazz standards, and, of course, the blues. There will also be selections from Riho Sibul’srepertoire. The song “Minu Aeg” is the opening track of Kelli Uustani’s debut album.

Crazy Dayz – A Tribute to Hurriganes

ESTONIA

Crazy Dayz came together back in 2009, born out of the band’s guitarist’s long-standing obsession with the raw, gritty music and signature sound of Hurriganes. What started as a personal fascination organically evolved into a full-fledged band. After just five rehearsals, fate brought them together with none other than Remu Aaltonen, the founder of Hurriganes, with whom they shared the stage at Jaak Ahelik’s 50th birthday celebration—an unforgettable moment made possible thanks to Jaak himself.

Crazy Dayz was actively performing from 2009 to 2013, appearing at numerous pubs, as well as at Gunnar Graps tribute concerts, various rock events at Rock Cafe, large-scale summer festivals, and more. One of their most memorable shows took place at Tirmo Blues Festival in Finland, where they headlined the Friday lineup and played to a crowd of nearly 5,000 enthusiastic Finnish fans—many of whom warmly embraced their spirited versions of Hurriganes classics. Over those four years, the band played close to 150–200 shows, primarily in Estonia. And fittingly, their final performance on stage was once again alongside Remu.

After 11 years of silence, the band regrouped at the end of 2024, driven by the irresistible pull of Hurriganes’ music and the desire to finally realize ideas that had been left unfinished. One of those long-awaited plans will come to life in Haapsalu, where Crazy Dayz will perform with a renewed lineup that now includes keyboards.

They will present, in full, the legendary LP “10/80″—perhaps Hurriganes’ most cohesive and convincing studio album, recorded in Sweden in 1980.

Line-up:

  • Aivar Niiholm – vocals
  • Viljar Niiholm – drums, backing vocals
  • Veiko Sepp – bass
  • Toomas Kengsepp – guitars, backing vocals
  • Andrus Kanter – keyboards
