Concert “If You Want to Be Good”
The year 2026 marks the 80th anniversary of Marju Kuudi’s birth. To mark the occasion, the program “If You Want to Be Good”
was created, featuring a selection of works performed by Marju Kuudi and Riho Sibul.
As a small tribute, the evening will also include a couple of songs by Silvi Vrait in new arrangements; she would have turned 75 this year.
Kelli Uustani, Ain Agan, and Paul Daniel will bring these songs to life in a fresh and distinctive style, blending improvisation, jazz, and the interplay of the guitars.
The set list includes, for example, “Sina oled see,” “Kui tahad olla hea,” “Mind veel ei ole,” and “Märtsis algas mai.”
This is a warm encounter with songs that have somehow lingered in people’s hearts—songs that capture the spirit of an era, humanity, and something very much of today.
Kelli Uustani’s warm and distinctive voice moves along the boundaries of musical theater, jazz, and soul. Ain Agan’s experienced and nuanced guitar playing adds depth and Nordic clarity to the music. Ain is also the custodian of Riho Sibul’s musical legacy through the nonprofit organization MTÜ Kuukitarr.
The ensemble is complemented by the versatile guitarist and arranger Paul Daniel, whose sensitive musical language and atmospheric sound design lend the entire program a special sense of space and color.
The concert lasts approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
