The concert is dedicated to the works of Marju Kuut and Riho Sibul. Marju Kuut would have turned 80 on February 12 of this year. To celebrate this, Kelli Uustani, together with guitarists Ain Agan and Paul Daniel, has put together a program titled “If You Want to Be Good,” which brings listeners a selection of Marju Kuut and Riho Sibul’s best-known songs.
Uustani’s warm and distinctive voice moves along the boundaries of musical, jazz, and soul, telling stories that are both intimate and powerful.
Ain Agan’s experienced and nuanced guitar playing adds depth and Nordic clarity to the music. Ain is also a custodian of Riho Sibul’s musical legacy through the NGO Kuukitarr, bringing a personal connection and deeper context to the program.
The ensemble is complemented by the versatile guitarist and arranger Paul Daniel, whose sensitive musical language and atmospheric sound design create a unique space and timbre.
