Visitor Guidelines and Rules of Conduct
If you're coming to the festival for the entire weekend, it's worth purchasing a festival pass in advance, which can be exchanged for a wristband at the festival gate and grants access to all concerts and the nightclub as part of Augustibluus.
Visitor's Guide
- When you purchase a festival pass from Piletilevi, you can be sure that your ticket has been registered in the sales system and that the electronic check at the gate will verify its validity. If you buy a ticket from a stranger, it may turn out to be invalid. For this reason, Augustibluus does not allow Augustibluus to post sales advertisements on its social media channels.
- Filming and photography are permitted at the festival.
- You cannot enter Haapsalu Bishop’s Castle with an umbrella, as they obstruct the audience’s view. We recommend bringing a rain poncho or purchasing one at the festival grounds—at the BluusShop.
- Distances in Haapsalu are short, so it’s best to find a parking spot in the city center or near your lodging.
- Pets are not allowed in the festival area. We’re more concerned about the safety of our four-legged friends, since they might not enjoy the loud music and large crowds. Plus, someone might step on them in the dark, or they could get lost in the crowd.
- There are hundreds of seats available at Haapsalu Episcopal Castle during the festival, but there certainly won’t be enough for everyone. You may bring camping chairs and picnic blankets, but picnic blankets may not be placed in front of the sound booth. Picnic blankets take up a lot of space and hinder audience movement; the area in front of the stage is intended for active participation while standing. Blankets are welcome behind the sound booth.
- There are several bars open in the courtyard of the Bishop’s Castle, and there is also a wide selection of food. You can pay by card at the concession stands, but we recommend carrying a little cash with you so that, for example, you won’t be left without food or drinks in the event of a technical glitch. You are not allowed to bring your own food or drinks to the festival.
- The BluusShop tent, located in the Bishop’s Castle, sells festival T-shirts, hoodies, books, and hats. Holders of single-day tickets can also purchase a wristband there, which allows them to leave the castle and return during the concert evening.
- If you have any questions, please visit the festival information desk, located at the gate of the Bishop’s Castle. The information tent opens on Friday at 4:00 p.m. and on Saturday at 3:00 p.m., and remains open until the end of the festival day.
- Ticket sales at the gate of Haapsalu Bishop's Castle begin on Friday at 4:00 p.m. and on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. The gates open on Friday at 5:00 p.m. and on Saturday at 4:00 p.m.
