The band T-40—Raul Ukareda, Ülo Krigul, Argo Toomel, and Reigo Ahven—are blue-collar workers in the blues field who aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty. Out of their deep love for this rich soil—from which all known rhythm music has sprung, or is headed—they don’t hesitate to strip away all the bells and whistles to dig deep into the roots of the blues. The ability of these juicy, dark roots to conceal nourishing riffs, grooves, and organ wails is timeless.
Carlos Ukareda is Raul’s son, a prominent singer, guitarist, and songwriter whom many consider the future hope of Estonian music and whose breakthrough onto the world stage has already begun.
