Trainman Blues is an award-winning Danish blues and soul band founded by producer and bassist Laust Krudtmejer Nielsen and Irish singer-songwriter Richard Farrell.
Since the release of their debut album in 2018, the band has gained a following both at home and internationally. Their recordings and concerts have garnered attention, and the band’s work has been recognized with several Danish Music Awards in the categories of Album of the Year and Live Performance of the Year.
The band’s music draws inspiration from 1950s–1960s blues and soul, combining traditional influences with a more contemporary approach. All songs were written by Richard Farrell and produced and arranged by Laust Krudtmejer Nielsen. In recent years, the band has released several singles and plans to release its third studio album in 2026.
The French magazine Soul Bag has described the band’s music as “a harmony of classic and modern, tradition and innovation.”
